Carolyn White

Co-Founder

Born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana, Carolyn’s passion for community service began early. She started by mentoring youth in her church and later volunteered as a teacher’s aide. Carolyn and her husband, Anthony White, have extended their care beyond mentoring by opening their home to several youth over the years, inspiring her to establish the Touch Foundation for Change. This foundation aims to advocate for the underserved, disadvantaged, and often overlooked individuals in society, a cause close to Carolyn’s heart due to her own experiences with social, economic, and familial challenges during her youth.

Carolyn pursued her education with a focus on making a difference. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Louisiana State University in Shreveport, where she interned at the Caddo Parish Juvenile Detention Center, gaining firsthand insight into the challenges faced by at-risk youth. Later, she obtained her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock – William H. Bowen School of Law, concentrating on Juvenile law and achieving positive outcomes for her clients in juvenile cases.

In addition to her legal career, Carolyn is a prolific author, having penned two books: “Hidden Treasures I: Finding the Beauty in the Trials of the Wilderness” and “Hidden Treasures II: A Psalms 23 Journey.” Through her literary works, she shares her journey of faith and resilience, offering inspiration and guidance to others facing adversity.

Carolyn’s devotion extends to her family, as she is the proud mother of four children and grandmother to three grandchildren. She invests significant time and effort into nurturing the next generation, ensuring they are grounded in faith and equipped to overcome life’s challenges.

Throughout her life and career, Carolyn White has remained steadfast in her dedication to serving others, particularly youth, and advocating for those in need. Her experiences, both personal and professional, have shaped her into a compassionate leader and a beacon of hope for her community.
